This is a 1:24 scale fire truck built in diecast and plastic with exquisite detail (as is true of all Yat Ming models). This is the appropriate scale for use in G-Scale train dioramas, which is the purpose for which this was bought. They typically retail in various fire engine models in the $70 to $80 price range. At the Amazon price of under $40, and with free shipping, they are an excellent buy for the enthusiast and collector.

Incredibly detailed modelJul 30, 2007
By Heather H. Gibson I purchased this model fire truck for my son and was pleasantly surprised at the detail and quality of this truck. I had originally intended for him to be able to play with it, but the quality is so exceptional that we decided to use it as a display item in his room instead.

By Amazon Princess We got this for our grandpa, who is a collector. He admired the details that many of his other vehicles lacked. We are not familiar with Scale 1:24 cars but even we could appreciate the details.
