4More of a toy than a model, but usable as either.Feb 15, 2011
By Alan Edward Creager
Just under four and a half inches long and about an inch and a half wide, this model of the Chevrolet Corvette Indy is made in China and numbered 4013 by whoever made it. This is a bit lower on details and higher on durability, so I'd say it leans more toward being a toy. But with a number of plastic parts that can be broken off if one tries hard enough, this model might present a certain hazard to small children. I'd say it is certainly safe for anyone at age 10 and above, though. Anyway, the wheels spin and the rearmost component of the bubble canopy opens to reveal a none-too-impressive replica engine, and that's about all has for notable functions or movable parts. This model, and those also from whoever made it, have always struck me as being a tad on the cheap side. But it's pretty nicely detailed and usually doesn't cost too much, so it's all right. Overall, I'd say it's worth buying.
