Cheaply made, not durable enough for young childrenFeb 22, 2012
By Andrew Richardson I am disgusted about this model. I bought it (for $13.95) at the Air and Space Museum after a wonderful day with my sons experiencing the wonders of aviation. Naturally, my 6 year old wanted a souvenir and chose this model. I should have known when I picked up the box that it wasn't worth more than $5-$7. Assembly was basic and, for the most part, easy. My son put most of it together himself. However, snapping the wings in place required some pressure, so I handled that task for him so that the flimsy plane would not break. Luckily it did not. Unfortunately, my son tried to disassemble the plane and re-assemble it the next day. SNAP!!! And just like that, the plane is no more. My son feels bad and he shouldn't. This is a poorly made toy. It is designed for children, but, not constructed for them.

Easy and RewardingJan 05, 2012
By wishiwasjane Got this for my 8 yr old and he loved it. Easy to put together and looks great. It gets flown around the house and is holding up.

Love that Flying FortressJan 15, 2011
By Steve B. This snap together line of airplanes is terrific for kids 7-70 and this bomber doesn't disappoint! These are marketed under several brand names, In-Air being one of them. They are fun to build and sturdy enough to play with. You (and your kids) won't be disappointed.

A beautiful model for the priceJun 20, 2011
By Harvey S. Picker It takes two seconds to put this plane together: Insert both wings into the fuselage, then insert both horizontal stabilizers into the fuselage. (Then put together display stand and mount, if you wish.) The resulting model is quite nice. The landing gear retracts and the gun turrets swivel. The paint job includes nice details (such as the nose art). It looks great on my shelf.

Not as big as I had hoped but funJun 08, 2011
By PoCo This is a pretty small and simple model of a B-17. It's really mostly a toy and less of a model. It was quick enough to put together (a few minutes) but is great to play with. If nothing else, it makes a good start for getting your children interested in building models.
