I read the reviews on several of these planes and made the determination that they were well worth the money but there was a problem with getting the wheels on. I bought this one and another model for my son for Christmas and they were well received. I let him put them together, he is 8 and he came to me for help in getting the wheels on. Being an engineer, I scrutinized the plane and recalling the comments about the wheels, decided that this was not an insurmountable problem, just required a little investigation. By now, the instructions were out in the trash, if there ever were any so I did a little probing. Yes, it is virtually impossible to get the wheels on without breaking them. I took the bottom plate off and looked at the wheel wells. Sure enough, if you put the wheels on before you attach the bottom plate they pop right in and can go up and down as designed. Nice and easy. These are nice models and are easy to assemble if you put the wheels on first. You need to put a little thought into it though. One side of the wheel well has a higher ridge to hold the wheel peg in place and the opposite side has a lower ridge to allow the other peg to slide into place.

If you understand these planes only cost $11 they are pretty cool display items. The landing gear is impossible to put on, I stop trying as I got more planes, maybe just fought to get the front landing gear wheel on & left the other off.
If you like airplnes & don't want to spend a fortune on a hand carved replica these are for you & come with a display stands. The model itself is pretty accurate. It is a relative cheap way to buid a collection of different era war planes. I own all the Modern fighters, Space Shuttle Saturn 11 & a replica of the Bomber that dropped the atomic bombs & the Mir Space Station. The only one they don't carry is the f-35 joint strike fighter?? The international Space station is also not available from this manufacturer.
