The planes were purchased for my son and when they arrived, several planes were damaged. Appears the box is not quite large enough for all the planes so after being forced down into the box several had their tail fins broken. The body of the plane being made from a metal composite are relatively durable. As I have seen mentioned in other reviews, the wheels are plastic and tend to break easily.

The main structure of the airplane is metal and is very durable. However, the wheels are made out of plastic and are not durable. We purchased the airplanes for our son this Christmas. Now, about 7-weeks later, most of the planes no longer have their landing gear intact.

I have a 3 1/2 year old and he is rough on his toys. These planes are sturdy and they last the test of time. Not to mention, they are just fun to play with. My son carries them everywhere. You can't go wrong with these cool little planes. What a great gift...the quality makes it look like you spent a lot of $$$.

I bought these for my co-worker and they loved it. The toys are pretty high quality, made with metal and some plastic parts.

My son likes this set very much. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be(larger than matchbox size) and they are of a nice quality and detail and seem durable. I would recommend these planes to anyone who has a child interested in planes.
