2Not as good as the others.Jan 01, 2011
By Zach
I have several of the Smithsonian's other 1:48 scale WWII planes, and all have been very good quality, but the Corsair was not as good. The props were bent (had to straigten them out), the landing gear was so loose it almost fell out (tightened it up, but still), and the proppeller and engine were blue like the rest of the plane (should be black). I'm not sure if this is typical of all Corsairs from this manufacturer, or if it was just a fluke, but it should be noted.

5Not a toyFeb 09, 2010

This item is more a collector's item than a "toy". It's very nice, well-built, and my husband loves it. He has a collection of 6 WWII planes now and they look great on the shelves.
