Highly detailed 1/48 scale desktop model of the P-38 Lightning or "fork-tailed devil" as it is referred to for it's unusual design. This P-38 model features bold black and white invasion stripes which made it easier to differentiate between enemy or friendly aircraft during the Normandy landings on D-day. Includes display stand and educational collector's card. Officially licensed model in collaboration with the curators of the Smithsonian Institution.

This is NOT a toy. I collect WWII warplanes for display.
Not a toy, but a very good display model.

No this in not a toy- so there's not much "fun" value. But nice collector's card comes with interesting facts in a beautiful box. Almost hated taking it out of the package, but is displayed nicely on it's stand. Nice WWII collectible.
