Let's not be too critical over this train set people, it's a starter set only. Great set for the price...if you want a top notch train go and spend the $200.00.

Yes, it's a model, even for adults. You can easily extend it by adding additonal HO scale train tracks. I love it. My son loves it.
Forget about the wood train set, they are not real. Check the wheel and track you'll find the difference. Your son can't learn from the wood train set what the real train is.

This is a great train set for beginners, the locomotive will run on or off the track - so it can be used by small kids who have trouble keeping it on the track. Great value for the price!!

The train set is neat but the engine is not powerful enough to pull the tankers. Keep in mind the tankers are very light. Very disappointed especially after two 5 star ratings. Find another train, not worth the money!
